Artconnect is back
We are pleased to inform you that The Art Connect Initiative is back…this time with sole focus on Bold Strokes-the Art Workshop.
After having successfully completed a months long journey in the field of Art, Writing & Theatre(June/July’09), we are now ready to take on more-with renewed zest & vigor! We are truly amazed at the extent to which we have been able to contribute to helping people in their journey towards self discovery! We have successfully showcased their works of art, writings and theatrical abilities, at the ‘Art Connect Event’. Art was exhibited and interpreted by the writers, and the mood in which some of the paintings were done was also depicted in the play-an appeal for peace in a desperate, achievement oriented world. The surreal surroundings proved to be an add-on factor for enhancing the creativity.
Artists par excellence in the field of Art, Writing & Theatre including Yusuf Arakkal, C.F.John, Rekha Rao, Jija Hari Singh (founder:Art Manthram) Shirley Mathew, Sara Arrakal, Anuradha Nalapat, Chippy Gangjee, Pritham Koilpillai, Ashwin Mathew were very gracious in attending events, and their suggestions and contribution to our Initiative were invaluable.
Self taught artists often need the apt avenue to be able to express themselves and some encouragement, to be able to churn out commendable pieces of Artwork. The Bold Stokes mini-Gallery is now ready to showcase and promote its art. This art comes from the easels of talented young artists who have rediscovered their skills at our workshops. In addition we present art by award-winning artists who have helped us conduct these workshops.
